Skallasmedja is a typical farm smithy dating probably from the first half of the 19th century. The set of tools available in these smithies was often limited to what was most necessary for the reparation of broken tools and the forging of new simple tools. This smithy was donated to the homestead museum in 1970 by Karl and Anna Dedorsson in Skalltorp (Skalla).
